St. Faustina

Patron Saint of Mercy

Divine Mercy Sunday (celebrated on the second Sunday of Easter) is linked to St. Faustina and her writings on mercy. Throughout her life, St. Faustina conversed with Jesus and shared these conversations in a book titled Diary: Divine Mercy in My Soul. St. Faustina’s devotion to mercy helped spread the Divine Mercy Chaplet as well as the divine mercy prayer which many people recite every day at 3:00pm. Together with her confessor, Blessed Father Michael Sopoćko, St. Faustina created one of the most famous images of divine mercy which is still venerated today.
