Our Lady of the Rosary

The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is a celebration of the Christian victory over the Turks at Lepanto in 1571, attributed to the praying of the rosary before the battle. St. Pius V instituted the feast in thanksgiving for the Lord’s divine assistance, and the feast has also been known as the Feast of the Holy Rosary and the Feast of Our Lady of Victory. May the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary remind us to take refuge in Our Lady by praying the rosary, contemplating the life of Christ through prayer and Scripture.
