Conversion of St. Paul
St. Paul was originally known as Saul and was an opponent of the early Church. He persecuted Jews who believed in Jesus as the savior. Jesus stopped Saul from persecuting Christians by appearing to hum on the road to Damascus. After his conversion, Saul’s name changed to Paul, as we know him from many Letters in the New Testament. The account of the Conversion of Saint Paul (Acts 9: 1-5) serves as an inspiration to pray for continual conversion. Through the Conversion of St. Paul, we see that if Jesus touched the heart of the one who persecuted his people, He also can reach out to our hearts.
