Sts. Marcellinus and Peter
Sts. Marcellinus and Peter were martyrs who lived during the fourth century in Rome. Marcellinus was a priest, and Peter primarily served as an exorcist. Although little other detail is known about their lives, they are remembered for their zeal and piety. Veneration of them started as early as the fifth century and is particularly strong in Italy; many icons of Marcellinus and Peter exist throughout centuries of Italian art.
